The only thing better than yoga, is yoga in nature!
“Would strongly recommend these yoga classes. Very calming and especially beautiful in the open air.” Ania.
There’s something magical about stepping onto your mat under a wide-open sky, feeling the warmth of the sun, the coolness of the breeze, and the grounding presence of the earth beneath you. Yoga in green spaces engages all your senses, helping you connect more deeply to your practice, your breath, and the present moment.
Over the summer, I’m bringing that magic to our Barnet community with outdoor yoga sessions that combine gentle, mindful movement with the restorative power of the great outdoors:
These sessions are designed to suit all levels, from complete beginners to seasoned yogis. We’ll move through sequences that build strength, improve flexibility, and release tension, all while soaking up the beauty of our surroundings.
Practicing outside offers unique benefits, the fresh air boosts oxygen intake, natural light helps regulate mood and sleep patterns, and the sensory experience of hearing birdsong or feeling grass under your feet can deepen relaxation. OK, we may have a few disturbances such as friendly dogs wanting to join in but that’s all part of the fun. You might find yourself in downward dog next to an actual dog, or holding tree pose while watching real trees sway in the breeze.
Nature has a way of reminding us not to take life too seriously, after all, yoga isn’t about perfection, it’s about presence, connection, and that can include a little bit of giggling.
Yoga in nature is on during the summer months on Friday and Saturday mornings in Barnet, North London. You must be on the WhatsApp groups to get updates due to changing weather.
